Deuteronomy 13

There is no other name by which we can be saved, except Jesus. If anyone ever tells you any differently, that man is a liar and the truth is far from him. Is there one among you that would tell you that Jesus is not Lord? Is there one among you that would tell you it was seen in a vision that another way is here? Is there any among you that would add to or take away from that which is written in the Word of God? From such a person thou must flee.

There are a couple thousand cults in the United States alone, and each of these were formed by a radical member of a faith-body that has been led another way. Even before Jesus was born into this world, God had warned us about those who would lead us away from the truth. This effort will take many forms. It is important that we hold fast to the truth that we already know, and that we be not lead astray by any enticing idol or worship practice.

The parable of the sower, found in Matthew 13, is the very thing that is going on in the spiritual war that fights for our souls. There are many enticing, or attractive ways that are not our ways that are only imitations of our ways, the ways of the Most High God, the only One True God. The other ways, the substitute ways are meant to steal away the life breathed soul that God has given us. The purpose is to add to the enemy numbers for his kingdom, so that he can try to make his kingdom greater than Gods.

God has given us free will, to do that which our hearts desire. If we keep our mind new, upon the things of God, then our hearts will desire only that which is good and acceptable, and pleasing in the sight of God. If we do not keep our mind new, to study and to meditate on Gods word, then we will be enticed my many colorful things, and each time we yield to the worldly enticements, the harder it will be to overcome these things when we take our wilderness journey, on our way to our promise land.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33. Anything that your heart desires, God will give you, if you seek Him with all your heart. If you know something is wrong and you deliberately abstain from it, you have done well. If you know to do something good, and you do it, you have done well, also.

Remember, in all that you do, none of it matters unless you love. Love, even more than you love yourself. Let God arise. Let good overcome evil. Let my freedom ring!
