2 Kings 4

     God Is With You Always

Don't look to the left or to the right. Don't live as if the world is alright, and the lifestyle is right. For some, this is all we know. How will we ever live a life concerning only the things of God? How will we separate our lives from the lives of the world, and still be able to help them know Jesus?

Romans 12:2 teaches this very thing. Time and time again, the scriptures point to our mind. We need a mind for Christ. We need to read and study the Word everyday. We need to apply the Word in our everyday living. We need to replace the ungodly thoughts with thoughts of the Word. We do this gradually, over time. However, when we surrender to His way of life, and are committed to this, we will find this process accelerated. The more we apply ourselves to this, the more accelerated it becomes.

We can come to a place in our lives where we can access the power of God, because of our relationship with Him. We cannot focus on what's wrong. We must focus on what's right. Some may say, "my life is full of addiction". Don't think on this. Learn what the Word says. We are free of bondage. Focus only on God's Word, and exercise what you learn. It's not your battle to overcome addiction or other sins. This is what the Lord will do. He will bring you out of it. Some may say, "my body is ill, and I am handicap". Don't keep these thoughts. Replace them with what the Word says. He will not hold any good thing from us. God will make you whole again.

Don't "take a peek" at the things going on around you in the world's way of life. Don't dwell on a sudden thought of what appears to be a shortcoming. Don't think it's not going to work for you. After much time, if you still don't see results, remember to keep on going in the way of the Lord, and don't look on what's not working. It IS working. There is restoration going on in areas that you don't see, because these are not your focus. Often times we see only the problem. The fact is, the "problem" is merely the result of something long forgotten, or seemingly unrelated. God is working on that area, and when it is restored, the rest will manifest.

Don't look for the results or the evidence of anything, good or bad. Look only forward with God's Word. There are many deceptions when we take our focus off of the Word and onto the hope, or the shortcoming. These are distractions from the way it works, and can slow the process. Don't be discouraged if it's slow. If you are discouraged, and think it won't ever work for you, this is a point when you need to worship God with song and prayer. Ask another Christian friend to pray with you. Don't forget to keep reading and studying. Pray and think on what you are reading and learning.

You can be like Elisha. You can call on God to help other people. You are blessed to be a blessing to others. They will see the changes in your life and begin to look to you for some of that for themselves. Freely give them the answers you have learned. God will freely give you restoration and abundant life. This is not for your gain. It is tools to help other people. This is the anointing of Elisha.
