 Deuteronomy 10

It is worth looking at, that Moses did remind the People again and again of their sinful endeavors. Moses wanted the People to know that all they have so far received and will receive in the promises of God have little to do with them, in their current generation. This entire campaign was for the promises that God made to Abraham first, and then renewed this promise to his son, Isaac, and then to Jacob. This was a covenant that God meant for all time unto His chosen People. We are descendants of that covenant promise.

Even though we do not deserve it, God will continue to uphold this covenant forever, as long as the earth abides. He will remind us that it is not for our reward that we receive this, for if anything, we ought to be receiving a reprimand instead. However, if we will turn away from our wickedness and serve God as He has taught us, especially here in chapter 10, we will not only join in with the covenant promises that God gave our forefathers, but we will also have joint-heir with Jesus. This means that we won't only receive the prestige of great wealth, as a undeserved gift, but we will receive power from on High, All power of heaven and earth, and even greater! We need only to accept God, and to live as described in His Word.
