 1 Kings 3

The Wisdom of Solomon. This chapter encourages me. The Lord will give is a sense of mind to do good for others when we seek not after our own gain. He will take care of the things that we did not ask for, as well. In fact, He will give us "increasingly, abundantly more than all we ask or imagine". I challenge it reader today. What will you do with the increase? What will you do with the abundance? How many people can you count in your immediate, daily life that have lack? How many of these will you provide for? What about those of whom you don't particularly care for? Will they be cared for, in Godly love? Be faithful in this small matter, for the Lord desires to make us ruler over much.

Exercise your talents and gifts. If you don't use them regularly, you will not be at the "top of your game". Improve on your performance. Do your best. Accept it as an exciting challenge to give your all, so that the Lord can renew you with fresh supply. Consider the concept of the manna. Store none for later use, for it will not remain usable. Do all you can with what you have NOW, and depend on God to refresh you for a new day. Fear not the occasion of error. The Lord can make even those to prosper. It is the condition of the heart that God sees and responds to. It's not always what we say that we mean. It is always what is in our heart.

There isn't a more important thing than to do unto the Lord, and to fulfill His call. There is not a thing above this.We are blessed to be a blessing. Our increase has a specific purpose. Sometimes when we come to a substantial increase, we tent to want to self-indulge. Don't become caught up in this. Don't allow the blessing to become a burden. Be encouraged in knowing that if we simply do something for the Lord, He will improve and increase our steps. He will continue to press down, shake together, and over-fill our lives with more than enough to bless and be blessed. Remember too, that what we do to the least of these, we have done also unto God.
