Tears of Joy began as a small music group that included my mother, Shirley Wright, my sisters, Missy Armstrong and Korena Armstrong, and myself, G. Neil Armstrong. Sometimes we had guest singers; friends of the family, etc.
Tears of Joy was ordained under the Full Gospel Church of the Living Savior, the late Rev. Ralph L. Savage presiding. As Pastor Ralph's health began to diminish, so did the activity of Tears Of Joy. In an indirect sense, our tears of joy had become tears of sorrow.
The spirit of Tears Of Joy had never died completely, as the music still echoes in the hearts of those who knew us and had worshipped with us. Below you will find some of the titles that we used to sing. As God permits, I hope we can get back together sometimes and do some current recordings.
