Notes:
With God, not for God, all things are possible
direction, wisdom, insight... even while just sitting here
Key, to be sensitive and open to His leadership
His answers are not always as we think they are, not in a package as we thought... but it comes as we need it to
“thank You Lord for answers to problems … “
clarity and supernatural insight for anyone who was confused or lost
focus, not distracted...
it is possible that someone who is born-again, even for years, to be Spiritually undeveloped
Spiritual adolescence don't always pay attention, or not for a very long time
put away childish things
As we mature Spiritually, we need to put away childish things.
Identify childish things vs. mature things
Attitude determines Altitude
it could be that we see the problems instead of solutions
we need to not be negatively effected by negative things
“my flesh, nor the enemy will negatively effect me or lead me”
too much “slack” with adolescence discipline
if you let a young person go without any real responsibilities, what's gonna happen? Will he flip a switch and “poof” become a responsible adult? A mature adult? A dependable adult?
I need to discipline my flesh. Get my priorities straight
Acts 20:9 a man fell asleep and fell out of the window to his death...
vs. 12 even after an “all nighter” with Paul preaching, his death, and his resurrection, the man was taken home, unhurt and everyone was greatly relieved.
Some of us won't stay awake long enough for God to speak to us
Love not sleep, lest thou fall to poverty
Open thy eyes and you shall have bread
Recompense and Reward
it's amazing how much we occupy ourselves listening to other than God
“He's talking to me”
Anticipate Him...
I'm hungry!
We can and should control our mind, our thoughts, our urges
Prayer time suffers when you are easily distracted
my church attendance must not be distracted or hindered by ANYTHING
Role Reversal: Don't be the teenager
Pay attention!
Job 37:14 “pay attention, Job. Hearken.
“Be still, and know I am God”
People miss things when we are not disciplined and are distracted
Faith and patience...
The prodigal son wanted his now
The wealth of a fool with destroy him
God is lavish, but not at all wasteful
Please and satisfy the expectations of Jesus
