Prayer to God
O Lord:
Search me,
O Lord. Let me be ever mindful of my heart, that I may search it daily. Let me
now drift far from You, gradually, as a result of subtle sin and compromise.
Remind me by tugging my heart when my words fall short of life and inspiration
to others.
Help me, O
Lord. Help me to seek You in all things, to raise my personal standards as
acceptable in Your kingdom. Let my behaviors be acceptable in Your eyes and not
misleading to others.
Help me to
get along well with others, to be sensitive to their feelings and their needs.
Permit me to see directly into the hearts of others, to know their intentions
and their needs.
I will
serve You, O Lord. I will focus on helping someone who demonstrates a hope for
help. Help me not to trespass against the privacy of those who are not willing
that I help them. Help them to establish the humility to accept help, and to
open their heart to receive help.
Our help is
in Your name, O Lord. We need only to utter Your name, Jesus and with courage
and without shame. In all I do, I lift up Your name, Jesus. In all I do, I
worship You. I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
