Prayer To God
Heavenly Father:
More than a storybook hero or an imaginary friend let not Your name be mocked. Show forth Your mercy and loving kindness, but also withhold NOT Your justly balanced sovereignty. Be never far from me as I walk in Your way.
In my walk, I pray Thee; order my steps in Your word. Shine Your light on me and through me to fully expose my shortcomings. Let my heart be ever ready to yield to Your divine will and keep me washed clean in Your blood – for atonement. It is my hope, Almighty God, my only hope. Thou art the Lamb without spot or blemish; sacrificed for a sin offering for me that I might not be utterly cast off from You.
My mind, my will, and my emotions – my soul is to Youward. You are my protion, that I be not without any good thing. My protion does flow overabundant, not so that one can come in to spoil, but that Your will be done one to another among us.
Sustain me in Your divine purpose, that I be not greatly moved. I am Thine, O Lord. Do with me as it pleases You. Make known Your divine purpose. Where You lead me, in all I do, I will follow. I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
