Let My Freedom Ring
By G. Neil Armstrong
Verse 1:
If only I knew – what I’m supposed to do
The question would remain – would I have gone through
All the trial times – all the tribulation
I somehow held together – when I almost came undone
All the cracked places – in my foundation
Mortared and repaired – borne my fascination
As I look beyond the skies – I start to realize
That maybe there is more to this – than first meets the eyes
Maybe all the rebuilding - and repairs to my life
Help to strengthen me – I’ll be alright
I can see the Lord – in almost everything
No bonds have ever held me – let my freedom ring
Chorus:
Let my freedom ring – let the earth quake as I sing
Let my freedom ring – as death lost it’s sting
Let my freedom ring – I can overcome all
I let my freedom ring – I shall never fall
Verse 2:
I see in detail – all I’ve gone through
And I relate to the things – that I recognize in you
I wanna help – ‘cause I remember all the pain
And all the loneliness – as I struggled to regain
And I’ll never forget – when I seen my ray of hope
I strained with all my might – as I crawled back up the slope
If it’s something I can do or be – to help you be free
If it’s something I can give – to help you to live
If it’s something I can say to help – and to ease your pain
If it’s some kind of cost – that can find where you’re lost
It’s this very thing – that I can hope to be
In the dark you stumble on – in the light you’ll clearly see
Chorus:
Let my freedom ring – let the earth quake as I sing
Let my freedom ring – as death lost it’s sting
Let my freedom ring – I can overcome all
I let my freedom ring – I shall never fall
