Fearless Humility
By G. Neil Armstrong
I know for sure what humility does mean. I know humility in an intimate sense. I know what the ideal role of a person with humility is. I do know what God’s Word says and I do know what Webster says. I’ve researched humility. I’ve studied and I’ve tried humility.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. This is how far I feel like I am away from a lifestyle that would be a true example of humility.
What if I did back down from and submit to the opposition of every single thing – even those of whom I can clearly overcome, and easily so? What if I could face opposition with zero fear, no matter the odds, and still accomplish humility? Who can do that? Any man, boy, or child of God can accomplish this formula. Surely it will prove to be a practiced thing. Even when I achieve this thing one time, I must seek diligently for to accomplish it again – for it is no automatic or natural thing. I must, as pimple as it sounds, accomplish the phenomenon of “let go – let God”.
It is only realized in myself as NOT something I can do to experience and exercise humility, and fearless, too. I have come to understand that if I try – I fail. If I surrender to God – I have accomplished a small semblance of fearless humility.
