Mark 7

Love and the Word:
This whole chapter covers the heart of man. What we see with our natural eye isn't important as what is in our heart. A man can eat something that is rotten or spoiled, get sick and be alright after a while. When something aweful is said, it does damage deep within, and isn't easily healed. Many of us are living our daily lives, deeply effected by something that happened in the past. It isn't common for us to identify the relation between our current situations and those of our youth. What we are seeing today is a result of an experience that did defile us a long time ago. For every mighty oak tree, there once was a seed.

We really should focus on the seeds we scatter in our path, with each and every step. Will we reap joy? Will we reap beauty? Will we reap life giving fruit? Even when we intend to do something good for someone, it isn't always received as good. There is only one good and perfect thing we can say to someone. The only thing that will, without fail produce fruit that does not defile someone is the Word of God. Go on ahead and try a nice gesture or share a kind word. If it accidently offends someone, don't worry. God knows the heart of man and He will make the rough places smooth. God will even make your mistakes to prosper!

Remember, the most effective thing you can share with someone is the Word. Learn and understand God's word so that when you share it, you can also apply it to your own circumstances. Recall what was shared with you in the past, align it with the true Word of God, and share it with someone. This don't mean its an effective practice to share a random scripture with a random person (even though that is also effective). What it really means is that we should understand the Word of the Lord, recognize its manifestation in our lives, and share that result with someone who appears to be facing similar challenges.

Oh how blessed I am that God has brought me through so many different situations. I hope to NEVER surrender. I hope to NEVER lay on my back and say, "I give up"! If I get up instead of give up, I am gueranteed a victory. I will overcome any challenge that I stand up to. Most importantly, I must align all of my experiences with what God says, in the Word. Even more important than all of this, we absolutely MUST love each other. Even if the other person seems to hate you deeply, simply love him in return. Perfect love casts out all fear. Nothing can defeat love. Become so full of love that you are literally a manifestation of that love. You will never be defeated!
