Commentary
Hope of the Lord Starts With You:
As human in flesh we are seperate from God, as He is pure and holy and perfect. Mankind is sin from Adam, and will die. It is only the hope of God's mercy that we can be saved. He sent His son as a sacrifice to save us from our sinful nature. It is impossible for good to come from a bad thing, but with the blood shed from Jesus, we are able to bring good things into this dark world, shed the Light of Jesus in that darkness, and restore hope in Jesus from one to another. It is our duty in humanity to spred the word of the Good News.
I remember many times having fun and thinking of a special someone who I wish to share that fun with, even if only to tell them all about it. It is this same sort of thing that compels me to tell as many as will receive it that Jesus is our redeemer. We don't have to die. We don't have to close the book on our lives. We can live again, forever with God! Oh how marvelous it is to know that there is hope after all. Though our flesh will surely die, from our own time here on Earth, a new life can sprout up from the stump we leave behind. We need to receive Jesus into our life so that our sinful nature can be holy, set apart for God, to bring forth a good thing where there would otherwise be no good thing at all.
There is hope for those who think it is hopeless. Even if you have no home, no food, nor even clothing to wrap your body with, if you have Jesus, you have hope. It is such hope that will drive us forward and we will stand to take another step onward. Every journey begins with that first step. Go on ahead and take that first step. Ask Jesus to help you understand, to accept Him, and to follow His way. It is most often the Lord's way to bring a mighty calling from the least likely people. Will one of those people be you?
